Pre-Stream Checklist

Follow this checklist before every stream for maximum reliability.

Step-by-step guide

  1. 1Test your internet upload speed — ensure you have 30%+ headroom above your bitrate
  2. 2Verify Stream Guard is connected to the relay (green status indicator)
  3. 3Confirm your stream key and destination RTMP URL are correct
  4. 4Check buffer capacity is set appropriately (5 min minimum recommended)
  5. 5Do a 30-second test stream to a private/unlisted channel
  6. 6Open the companion app to monitor buffer during your stream
  7. 7Upload a custom splash screen if you want branded fallback (Pro only)
